lately?

crystal: Unfortunately, not many. I like good music, new or

old producers.

proj_2501: NO! At the same time I'm a big fan of YMO! Japan

AFM-Euclid: I'm into a lot of unreleased music coming from

friends of mine. I'm not influenced by too much commercial stuff of any kind.

who are the innovators?

There aren't many innovators and tons of procrastinators.

Derrick, where do you get your inspiration from when you create a new track?

SINTZ: I tap back into my childhood. It was a special time

for me.

bc: We felt as if Jeremy could be more versatile with his

keyboard playing.

Right now the tour is finished. We're picking up dates in

March and April. We're trying an electronic programmer with acoustic

musicians working together.

RedDog: No. My favorite place to perform is Japan.

Derrick: how do you feel about easy gratification programs

like ACID and the use of pre-fab samples and loops

If you use it appropriately it can be quitE cool. Otherwise

it's just the easy way in.

party people I have experienced in the world. They are enthusiastic and warm and loving.

time: Fantastic. He's a genius. Putting things together

nobody in their commercial mind would come up with.

what's the difference between jazz and techno? is there one? kinda a

theoretical question, i know...

bc: It's not much different. They are both art forms from the

black culture.

soundtrack a fluke thing?

proj_2501: No, Ghost was planned. I was happy to do it. I

was a Mega fan 8 years ago. I met the director of Akira and was supposed to

do music for the one after. I was a big fan years before that shit even became popular

APHELEON: As far as creativity is concerned it should be

witnessed by everyone. There's a difference between commercialism and

exposing new ideas.

cellular: I don't think that's the way it is. It's the music

industry deciding how things will be marketed.

Black roots and pioneering that was later dominated by White guys. all the

while, Yellow technology has played an important role and Red people have

incorporated it into their culture (i.e. Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, etc.)

quite a generalization but it's a very multiethnic and diverse genre of

music. and i can appreciate that ;)

people like that are elevating and evolving. It's becoming more panoramic.

Tristan: No, a hands on approach never hurt.

GiantPeach: Unfortunately that is the truth. I've never used drugs, never been interesting. People who use drugs need to wake up one day.

slm: A good dj is simple. He is willing to make mistakes and

be open minded enough to try interesting things. That's a good DJ.

Detor: Carl Craig never wrote strings of life. He helped me on the remix. It was written by myself and Michael James. He came in 3 years later.

i think someone's confusing the grateful dead with the

techno/rave scene -- i know there are plenty of non-drug-addled minds out

there who appreciate and really get into the music in the techno genres

beats and sample

ultramagnetic: I use an MPC 3000. I prefer to create my own

beats and samples from sounds. I don't steal.
